In Nietzsche’s Search for Philosophy – On the Middle Writings, Keith Ansell Pearson directs his interpretive gaze to middle writings of oeuvre, namely Human, All Too Human (HAH), Dawn and The Gay Science (GS). While at least in German Nietzsche scholarship, it is rather debatable whether or not should have been considered “neglected”– with perhaps being a reasonable exception important read them as more than merely detour from “real Nietzsche” found Birth Tragedy then late works. Ansell-Pearson does presume homogeneous philosophical approach works, he characterizes period whole each work itself containing aspects “search philosophy”, especially consideration attempts “unify thought life” (4) what labelled “‘philosophical life’” (4).
